Pioneer Dog Week
Dog Friendly Training
From Monday 08 July 2019 - 09:30
To Friday 12 July 2019 - 16:00
Pioneer dog is the antidote to competition blues or a drop in motivation.
There are three sections that include nosework ( a track and scent task),
obedience and jumping ( commanding your dog through a sequence of obedience disciplines, with distance controlled jumping.)
Search and Detain is the third and final section to complete.
We provide training and will put on events/competitions for this new sport. The philosophy and spirit of the training and competitions will be positive training in all sections and any detainment/bitework will be trained through play and produced with zero aggression.
You will also have an opportunity to ask questions of Dave & Jenny, and learn through watching other handlers working their dogs.
All our courses are only suitable for non-reactive dogs, they are not suitable for dogs who bark, growl or lunge at people or dogs, some work will take place in groups.
Any dogs you bring with you MUST be caged within the confines of your vehicle when not working or having a toilet break. This is for the comfort and safety of your dog to allow for adequate ventilation in your vehicle.
Outdoor venue in Yorkshire, between York & Selby
All dogs attending must be sociable.
