I would like to thank Judith and Jeff for welcoming me into their beautiful home, with wonderful meals, and food a plenty (I don’t know how you do it, Judith!)

A BIG THANK YOU to all the helpers and the hard working members of this very efficient working trials club.  Everything ran like clockwork, even down to the weather, sunshine and no rain, just a bit too windy for some dogs, but they all gave it a good shot.

All grass fields set in beautiful countryside, good company and working dogs in a lovely relaxed atmosphere - what more could you ask for?

TD STAKE:

1st 210.5, WTCh COLLIEWOOD BROWN EYES BLUE, BC, with Diana Collie.  Crystal sorted out the track with Diana hanging onto her in the gale force winds; she sorted it out, recovering all articles, with lovely control and perfect agility giving them a comfortable win.  Congratulations, Diana and Crystal.

2nd 205.5 and Best track, Ch, Int Ch and WTCh FIRCROFT DALWINNIE, BC, with Judith Owens Poole. Guess worked in a rabbit infested field with fantastic concentration, proving she is not just a superb looking dog but a brilliant working dog as well.  Another lovely control round, and but for the long jump would have won the stake.  Congratulations, Judith and Guess

3rd NQ, DUBLIN CITY SPECIAL, X Breed, with Janet McGloughlin-Minch.  Roger did not find the tracking easy but stuck at it, recovering 3 and 4. He managed the control but came unstuck on the agility.

WD STAKE:

1st 163.5, HIGHFIELD CLYTEMNESTRA, GSD, with Miranda Moriarty.  Nessa had to work hard on her track, and recovered 1 track article and 4 from the search. Beautiful sendaway and full mark jumps gave them a well deserved qualification.  Congratulations, Miranda and Nessa.

2nd 180, NQ, Ch and Int Ch HA`PENNY KINGFISHER, BC, with Jenny Hickey.  Guinness worked a super track, recovering 2 and 4.  Lovely control but a blip on the agility snatched victory from this very handsome dog.

3rd 88.5, NQ, BATTERSEA`S BEST TO PELE, WSD, with Samantha Rawson.  Pele found the weather conditions too hard today, but worked a beautiful full point search.

4th 83.5, NQ, Ch HA`PENNY LITTLE OWL, BC, with Jenny Hickey.  Gabby was another victim on the tracking, but she recovered all 4 from the search.  Another good control round but a bit of confusion on agility which Jenny will overcome.

Best WD  track: Ir Sh Ch TRILLITE PRIVATE RYAN, Weim, with Marjorie Briggs.  He is one tracking machine, Marjorie, superb to watch him hoover his way around the track.

UD STAKE:

1st NQ, 163, RAMBAUDS ORTIE, Pyrenean Sheepdog, with Anne Collen.  Tiggie has given Anne so much enjoyment in her working trials career, but Tiggie is now retiring from our sport in pursuit of other fun.  Good luck and happy times ahead.

Best track, KALIYON CAOIBHE, BC, with Miriam Lyons.  Keva had no problem with her tracking - lovely to watch.

CD STAKE:

Neither dog qualified but both enjoyed "their" test.  Jenny Hickey worked HA`PENNY KELTIC MAGIC, BC, and Caroline Woods worked PARAVEL ILLUSION, GSD.

They both look like having a happy life in working trials.  Keep up the good work girls, and best of luck to you all.
