Judge: JENNY OLLEY
Search, stay and C/A steward: Dianne Ellis
Gate and stay steward: Ernie Thompson
Thanks to LGSD and ABTS for the judging appointment and to Chris Bell and his team for running a friendly and efficient trial. Thanks also to my steward, Dianne Ellis, who did a fantastic job, and was great company, and to Ernie for keeping the competitors in the right place at the right time.
Out of 9 entries 7 worked; we had a super area on Lincoln show ground to complete all work, so everything ran very smoothly.
Nosework took place first; I saw some super retrieves and searches, and all teams qualified this section. Sit stay was next followed by the C/A - I saw some good work from all the competitors in the control round, and had 3 teams gaining enough points on the jumps, but sadly 2 of these teams didn’t complete the down stay.
Thank you to all the competitors I really enjoyed watching you work with your dogs.
1st Thelma Kirchen and QUARRINGTON FLASHDANCE, cross, B. 92, Q. Super, consistent work in all sections. Eden was well handled by Thelma to get the best from her, a pleasure to watch.
2nd Vicky Gurnhill and ALBESA STAR QUALITY, GSD, D, 87.5, Q. Excellent control and nosework from Vicky and Timba, real teamwork.
3rd Tracey Berry and DEBUTANTE BLACK BEAUTY, Lab, B, 78, NQ. Good nosework and control.
4th Barbara Wesley and BORDERTRIX ENTREPRENEUR, BC, D, 77, NQ. Full point nosework.

Many thanks to Lincoln for the invitation to judge and to Chris Bell for his help and for running this well organised trial.
Thank you to the base ladies, Jenny Henton and Judy Meekings, who did a great job and were so well organised, as were the army of ladies in the kitchen, led by Pat Quinn.
Out in the field we had two good days tracking, with 11 out of 14 qualifying on the nosework. The weather was very kind to us and the land was what you would wish for yourself. My thanks to Graham Brumpton and Joe Craft for tracklaying both days and to Jean Archer for putting out the squares.
Finally thank you to the competitors for entering. All the best for the future.

I would like to thank Mr Chris Bell and the committee for inviting me to judge WD open nosework at their recent trial. I think the whole day went very well, and was certainly well organised by the ladies on the desk, and the ladies in the kitchen provided lovely food - well done to you all, it certainly was a well-run team.
My tracklayers were Liz Warrior, Christine Stewart, and Chris Bell, and the square steward was Irene Seymour. I would like to thank you all for doing such good work, in getting all our competitors to their tracks and being so efficient in your jobs - a brilliant team.
Our tracks were on good growth rape, and conditions were good. We had 7 competitors and what a pleasure it was to judge them. They all produced lovely tracks, both articles, and then went on to do nice squares.

Tracklayers: Brian Page, Richard Musgrave, John Phillips.
Search Square Steward: Jeny Miller
My thanks to the committee of Lincoln Dog Training Society for the invitation to judge the TD nosework at one of my favourite trials. The weather was extremely kind to us for all three days, and the tracking land was to die for, especially first thing in the morning, with a heavy dew and then sunshine every day, and we did see some very good tracking, making it more enjoyable than ever. My tracklayers, Brian doing the earlies, Richard, and John, put the tracks down just as asked and were great company - thanks very much. My search steward, Jeny, also was great company and put the squares down to perfection - thanks so much.
There were 30 entered, and 25 worked, 6 qualified overall.
1st Debbie Meade and HEATHERMARK HAWK, GSP, 203.5, Q. This team worked the last track on Saturday and it was lovely to watch, followed by excellent search square. Congratulations.
2nd Wendy Craven’s QUIZ-IS SOMETHING SPECIAL handled by Dave Craven, WSD, 195, Q. A good track with all three articles, and two out of the square gave Dave his first TD qualification with this young dog. Well done.
3rd Vic Snook and LITTLE MICA, X-Breed, 193.5, Q. A very nice track, but missed the first article, then went on to have three out of square, resulting in a qualification in TD. Well done, this was a good weekend for you two, also qualifying PD and gaining 2nd place. Congratulations.
4th Julz Findeisen and BANDAITCH DIRTY HARRY, X-Breed, 190, Q. This team worked the first track on Saturday, with two articles off the track, four out of square, qualifying TD with this young dog. Congratulations.

I would like to thank the ladies who worked so hard in the base - Jenny Henton, Judy Meekings and Jean Morley - everything seemed to flow very smoothly; and also to all the kitchen staff for all the bacon butties etc, so a big thank you to Pat, Teresa, Vicky, Carol and Barbara.
Thank you to the competitors for entering under me - I enjoyed watching your dogs work, and good luck at your next trial.
