CD Stake

Judge : SUSAN HUGHES

Steward : Bob Martin

I would like to thank Midland Counties GSD Association for asking me to judge the CD stake and to thank my steward, Bob Martin.  Out of three entries only one turned up.  A lovely border terrier who found the sudden hot weather, long grass and having just finished her season too much for her and mum, very sensibly, declined to do stays.

S. Pickering and HOLSTILL  FREE SPIRIT  Border terrier (B) 62.5  Better luck next time  N/Q.

WD Nosework

Judge: NORMA ANSELL

Tracklayers : Gary Talbot, Sheila Tannert

Squares : Pete Morley

Thanks to Midland Counties for the opportunity to judge  WD stake.  Talk about sun shining on the righteous.  I must be perfect.  We had fantastic weather for all three days, wonderful B&B at Marians Mansion.  Thanks Alan (Bolton) for your company and all the Midland Counties team.  Lovely lively three days.  Please ask me again.

Super tracking land.  Well grown wheat, the dogs loved it, but wanted to eat it, not search in it.  Good for tracking but difficult for squares.  In general dogs either did it (brilliantly) or didn't (dismally).  Most dogs  which got past first two legs completed the track.  Thanks also to Linda Newbold (control judge) for letting ?? of my nosework qualifiers, qualify WD open.  Congratulations to you all.

Many thanks to Peter squares, Gary and Sheila (which pattern today Sheila?).  we had lots of fun.
