Tracklayers: Lorraine Wilson, Andrea Lynd, Gary Martin
Stewards: Barbara Bell and Cath Gordon
My thanks to Scottish Kennel Club for the invitation to judge at this trial. Thanks go to my track layers, Lorraine Wilson on the first day, Andrea Lynd all three days, and Gary Martin on the Friday and Saturday. All tracks were laid exactly as I wanted and all competitors had an equal chance. Grateful thanks to my stewards, Barbara Bell on the Thursday and Friday and Cath Gordon on the Saturday. Both stewards were clear and concise in their instructions and everybody was given an equal chance. Many thanks to Cheryl and Tom Savage, who worked wonders in the broom cupboard that was called a kitchen. Last but not least, many thanks to Doug and Sheila Shearer for their hospitality and their generosity in opening their house up to us for the four days that we worked.
1st Sheila Tannert and TARNEDGE WISP, 190.5, Q. An almost faultless track and a full point square; a well-deserved win, Sheila.
2nd John Gray and WAGGERLAND WELLS, 184.5, Q. Lovely track and square and a good control round. Well done, John.
3rd Sue Williams’ SHADOWQUEST ONE AND ONLY, handled by June Reed, 183, Q. A good track and square and a tidy control round. Shame about the last track article. Well done, June.
4th Jenny Wood and FORGUECROFT TOP GUN, 166, Q. A good track with one sticky patch but you both recovered well. A tidy control round; well done.
