- Open Trial
- Venue: Ballater
- Trial Held: 28 June 1992
Judge: JILL CARRUTHERS
Stewards: Barbara Mathieson (C & A and Timekeeper), Jenny Wilson (Searches).
Many thanks to S.W.T.S. Committee for the opportunity to judge the C. D. Stake. To all the ladies in the catering, it was wonderful, and all those fantastic cakes! My thanks again to Jenny for laying the squares, placing well scented articles of plastic, wood and felt. Barbara timed the squares and stewarded the control and agility, a very efficient lady, giving clear instructions to all handlers. To Dad (alias Colin Carruthers) for crowd and competitor contro l which helped to keep waiting time to a minimum for everyone. It is always a pleasure to be at a trial in Scotland as everyone is so friendly and helpful. All competitors were a credit to the sport, the spontaneous applause after each dog bad completed its control sums it up beautifully.
1st. 87.5 CoM. TEILHABER CHARMER OF RAMSON (GSD) D handled by Hugh McTear. Aaron worked very well in each section Hugh, you mus t be de lighted with his fir st attempt in trials, congratulations and good luck in championship.
2nd. 87 CoM KELLERS BLACK DIAMOND (BC) D handled by Helen Rajska. Tag is a very handsome dog almost seven years old, Helen was thrilled that be qualified as agility has been a problem but not today, congratulations to you both.
3rd. 84.5 NQ. GLEN GRANT (WSD) D handled by Hilary Hirst. Glen worked superbly and just missed out on the agility, so keep going Hilary, I bet be gets it next time.
4th. 81.5 NQ. BOBBIE DAZZLER (Dobe) handled by Jane Parker. Kim gave her all for you today Jane and as she gets fitter she will be more confident on the scale and qu8lify comfortably in the future. The fact that there were only two qualifiers belies the standard of work by the dogs and handlers, as most teams qualified in three of the four sections. Therefore it will not be long before they qualify. Thank you to all competitors for entering your dogs, I hope you enjoyed the test as much as I enjoyed judging you and watching your dogs work
