TRIALS MANAGER'S REPORT
The K.C. gave us permission to cancel our Open Trial due to the fact that Princess Diana's funeral took place on the same weekend. Bentleet's Committee decided to continue with the trial as some people had booked holidays to compete or help on the day, also it gave the option to competitors to compete or scratch if they themselves felt they wanted to show their own respect to Princess Diana and not compete. At 11 .00 on the Saturday morning the whole trial stopped and a two minute silence was held to mourn the death of the Princess of Wales.
All the judges and helpers donated their expenses to the Princess of Wales Charity Fund, along with the proceeds from the raffle and other takings from the Trial. A total of £368.10 was raised.
I would like to give special thanks to the Mendoza family for their help in running this, my first Trial, and to all the helpers who gave up their time. I would also like to thank again the people who offered their help but could not be found a job to do, I found myself in the situation of having too many helpers, if that's possible. I hope I can count on your support in the future.
