St Lawrence, Open Trial
Stake: CD, UD, and TD
Judge: YVONNE FILLEUL
Tracklayers: Kath Barette and Jane Heaps
Stewards: Kath Barette and Jane Heaps
Many thanks to the Alsatian (G.S.D.) Training Club for the invitation to judge at their open trial. Thanks also to Carole Pearce and her team of helpers, Kath Barette, Trials Manager, tracklayer and steward, and also Jane Heaps who tracklaid and stewarded as well. I was delighted to go back to Jersey to judge, as it gave me chance to meet up with old friends, and also extend my stay to see my grand daughter. The group is small, although I understand there are three young dogs that will be old enough to compete next year. I hope that you all continue to compete, as all dogs showed potential, and I look forward to meeting you all again soon. I had a great time and enjoyed judging you all. Lastly, thanks to all the competitors for accepting my decisions.
1st Wendy Wright and PATOIS BERRUELLE, (BC). Lovely control round and search. Shame Ticket didn’t do the jumps as this cost you your qualification. 78.5pts
2nd Carole Pearce and TONKORY GIN FIZZ AT SHALIMAR, (BC). Good control round, but jumps proved costly. A good effort for Flurry’s first try in trials. 66.5pts
3rd Lindsey Bracegirdle and TASMONSIE FOREVER MINE, (GSD). Gypsy made a good effort and once sendaways and stays are sorted she should gain her qualification. 48pts
1st Wendy Wright and PATOIS BERRUELLE, (BC). Ticket found the track difficult today. Excellent search and control. Again jumps proved costly.
2nd Carole Pearce and TONKORY GIN FIZZ AT SHALIMAR, (BC). For Flurry’s first trial she made a good effort at the track. Good control, but jumps still need some work.
3rd Lindsey Bracegirdle and TASMONSIE FOREVER MINE, (GSD). Shame about the rabbit running across the square as this caused Gypsy to forget what she was doing. Tried hard in all aspects.
1st Wendy White’s FAIRLEA DAZ, (BC). Handled by Carole Pearce. Daz wasn’t on form today - shame she backtracked.
