Working Trials

Working Trials is one of the earliest competitive canine activities and could be described as the canine equivalent of Three-Day Equestrian Eventing. The Nosework –Cross Country, Obedience – Dressage, and Agility – Show Jumping.

Agility

In this section your dog must complete three set exercises under control - The long jump, the clear jump and the scale jump.

Nosework

As the name suggests, this section is all about using your dog’s nose to follow scent tracks and find articles. This is very much a team effort.

Control

This section should demonstrate the bond between dog and handler and their ability to work as a team. The judge is looking to see that the exercises have been thoroughly taught and are competently performed.

Problem solving, putting a system into place to help with any issues

Suitable for all ages, if your dog isn't old enough to jump it will be a great opportunity to work on all the foundation work required prior to jumping (drive, focus, control)
